Space

Space
- The space system has been implemented.
- Spaceships may be purchased in the new 'Space Port' area of Zheckshan.
- Parts may be attached to your ship to enhance its stats.
- Space combat works differently from character combat. In space, clicking a creature will set that creature as your target. From there you need to use feats to attack the target. Make sure you attach weapons to your ship before entering space or else the feats will not appear.
- Experience earned in space goes toward your character's 'Pilot Level'. As your Pilot Level increases, more parts and ships will become available to you.
- Death penalties are different in space. If your ship is blown up, it is permanently destroyed. Any parts you had attached to the ship have a chance of being blown up as well. If they are not blown up, they can be found in a jettison can at the place the ship was destroyed. Your character will be sent to the last space port he or she entered space from. Your character's inventory will not

Crafting
- The crafting system has received an overhaul.
- You can no longer fail to create an item.
- The original three trades have been reorganized into four distinct crafts: Weapon Crafting, Armor Crafting, Jewel Crafting, and Alchemy
- All original blueprints have been replaced with new, easier to follow ones.
- Blueprints must now be added to your collection. Once added, it cannot be removed. This eliminates the need to carry around blueprint items to do crafting.
- The process to craft a blueprint has changed. Go to the appropriate terminal and click on the option "select blueprint" to choose an item to make. Once a blueprint has been selected, place all items inside of the terminal and click "Craft Item". After a short wait, the item will be created.
- The maximum level for all four of the manufacturing skills is 20. This may be raised in the future.
- The amount of experience earned for creating an item decreases by 25% for each level it is below your skill level. For example, if your skill level is 5 and you craft an item that is level 2 then the experience earned will be cut by 75%.
- Copper has been renamed to Azurite.
- Tin has been renamed to Falcite.
- Iron has been renamed to Relkar.
Skills
- All weapon and armor skills have been removed and replaced with a class system (described below).
Classes
- Six classes have been implemented. They are: Assassin, Elementalist, Energy Knight, Guardian, Gunslinger, Medic. More details follows.
- Assassin - Focuses on damage with dual shortblades, such as katanas and short swords. This is equivalent to a ninja.
- Elementalist - Focuses on damage in the form of elemental ether attacks. This is equivalent to a wizard.
- Energy Knight - Focuses on utilizing energy blades to siphon health from enemies. This is equivalent to a mage knight.
- Guardian - Focuses on high defense maneuvers and the ability to draw the attention of enemies. This is equivalent to a warrior.
- Gunslinger - Focuses on ranged damage and status effect debuffs. This is equivalent to a ranger.
- Medic - Focuses on recovery, removal of status ailments, and increasing defensive powers. This is equivalent to a cleric.
- The maximum level for each class is 30.
- Class can be switched at any "Class Change Terminal" without penalty.
- Your current class and subclass combination can be viewed from your character sheet.
- All abilities added to your hot bar will be stored and loaded when your main or sub class changes.
Items
- Equipment has been reworked entirely. All the less useful items have either been removed or replaced.
- Equipment is now based on the current class level of your character. If you do not meet these requirements, you cannot wear the item.
- Chance for a critical hit is no longer solely determined by weapon. Some weapons may increase the chance to critical, but there are other factors which are used to determine when a critical hit lands.
- The level required to equip an item will always display, even if it only requires level 1.
- Armor and shields no longer increase the time it takes to cast an ether spell.
- Class restrictions and level requirements now display under the item properties section of an item's information page.
- Item durability is now displayed in item properties, rather than on the name of an item.
- Firearms now have infinite ammo. You no longer need to reload them - just equip and shoot.
- Weight penalties for many items have been removed.
- Items are no longer permanently destroyed when durability reaches 0%.
- Weapon and armor appearances can now be modified. You can also store up to ten different armor appearances per character.
Areas
- 'The Avant' Crash Site #1 has been removed. In addition, its entrance area has been removed as well. All quests pertaining to this area have been removed too.
- Three new regions have been added. They are as follows: Lunara Tundra, Trilius Wasteland, and the Klein Promontory.
- Various areas have been remodeled and should feel much more "sci-fiey"
Missions
- Missions you have completed will no longer display in an NPC's dialogue menu.
- Missions which require prerequisite missions to be completed will not display in the menu until those prerequisites are met.
- Missions have been reworked and many new ones have been added.
- Some missions now grant class experience as a reward.
- Completed missions will no longer show up in your journal.
Creatures
- NPCs will no longer wait at a zone line if a player exits an area.
- Enmity calculation has been reworked. Creatures should be more consistent with their targets.
- AC has been decreased for enemies in Gildonnu and Bulette's Lair.
- All conversations with NPCs will now be silent (I.E: Only the person speaking will be able to see the conversation)
- The portrait for the Zheckshan Banker has been fixed.
Characters
- The following character stats have been removed: Elemental Bonuses, Mineral Harvesting EXP Multiplier, Organic Harvesting EXP Multiplier, Bullet Bonus
- Defense is now calculated differently.
- The following character stat has been added: Attack
- Characters' NWN class level has been lowered from 40 to 5. This doesn't affect your character in any way, it's just a system necessity.
- An issue with persistent hit points has been fixed and is now more efficient.
- Your location is now persistently saved when you exit the server.
- All players now have permanent haste.
- Players now have an initial inventory limit of 30 items. This limitation can be increased by completing the appropriate missions.
- All player characters now have permanent Ghostwalk. This will remove the ability to push players outside of the tileset and cause other unwanted problems.
- Your character's head and portrait can now be modified in the 'Advanced Options' section of the rest menu.
Abilities
- The chance an ability will fail to activate due to an interruption has been reduced from 70% to 30%.
- The 'Reload Firearm' feat has been removed, as firearms now have infinite ammo.
- An erroneous message which said a spell could not be activated for another zero seconds has been fixed.
- You will no longer receive a message displaying your current essence if you use an ability that requires no essence.
Combat
- Damage calculation for direct damage spells has been reworked.
- Damage calculation for melee and range attacks has been reworked.
- A debug message has been removed.
Menus
- Reload Speed, Ability Activation Speed and Ether Interruption Rate values have been removed from the detailed character info page.
- Detailed character information will display when the rest menu is opened.
- The FAQ sub-menu has been removed from the rest menu.
- Class and skill experience bars have been condensed, which should make them easier to read regardless of the font option you use.
- Viewing your skills will now directly take you to the list of skills.
Miscellaneous
- Database engine has been changed which should help with performance under heavy load.
- Hakpaks have been updated to the latest version. Players will need to re-run the updater program in order to connect to the server.
- Mysterious Obelisks now restore all hit points when used.
- Security measures have been implemented to combat the issues with the master server being down. Your account is linked up to your CD key(s). Up to seven (7) keys can be linked to your account. To add a new key, look in the rest menu under the Advanced Options sub-menu.
